How do we incorporate ESOL into our work?
The program for EAL is built around online immersion lessons. We focus on having students engage in active use of the language as well as writing and reading exercises with their students. We focus on teaching interdisciplinary topics through English to make rapid gains in applying increased English skills across the curriculum. Our teachers must have their students actively speaking, reading, and writing for the lesson to pass our quality assurance standards.

The lessons in our curriculum apply to our Purple Ruler English Level (PR English Level) below. As long as students are making progress through our levels you are going to see advancements in the other related benchmarks you can see in the diagram.

How do we quality assure?
Every lesson we teach is watched back and graded against a rubric. Teachers must score a minimum of 20/24 with nothing lower than a 3 in any category.
Who are our teachers?
Certified/Licensed Teachers
With Teaching Experience
Trained and Certified To Teach Online
With Certifications in EAL

How does our platform work?
Our platform is designed for higher-level data management to ensure academic growth and attendance across entire schools and districts. Our real-time data lets you hold us accountable to the impact of our work.

Effectiveness of the Purple Ruler in Improving Mathematics Skills Among Elementary School Students: A Targeted Study This research thoroughly assesses the impact of the Purple Ruler educational interventions of elementary school students. Utilizing a controlled, quasi-experimental methodology, the study explores the tool's effectiveness over an 15-week period with a cohort of 256 students aged 6-9 years, from diverse socio-economic and geographic backgrounds. The investigation focuses on the students' ability to meet or exceed grade-level expectations in mathematics, examining the correlation between groups of students who used the programme with a minimum of 75% attendance rate and those students who did not but were of similar economic and cultural backgrounds in the same schools that fed students into the program . Findings indicate a significant positive effect, with 87.25% of qualifiying participants achieving or surpassing grade-level standards of the students , particularly when the tool is implemented in smaller group settings (up to 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio). Efficacy of the Purple Ruler in Enhancing Mathematics and English Competency Among Middle School Students: A Comprehensive Analysis Through a controlled, quasi-experimental design, the research explores the effectiveness of the interventions over a 15-week period with a sample of 312 students aged 10-13 years, drawn from diverse socio-economic backgrounds in a variety of geographic locations across England. The study specifically measures the ability of students to reach age-related expectations, assessing the correlation between tool usage with an 82.33% attendance threshold and academic improvement. The findings reveal a statistically significant enhancement in both subjects, with 82% of participants achieving or surpassing age-related expectations, particularly in small group settings (up to 3:1 student-to-teacher ratio). These results contribute valuable insights into the role of targeted educational tools in contemporary learning environments. To request the full research paper please email Info@purpleruler.com
