How Does It Work?
Obtain Your Child’s LASID Number
You will need your child’s 10-digit Louisiana Department of Education Student ID (LASID) number, which can be provided by their school.
Step 1
Complete the Sign-Up
Register on the program’s website (www.louisianatutoringinitiative.com/s/) by providing your contact information along with your child’s LASID number, school district, school, grade level, and date of birth.
Step 2
Eligibility & Account Creation
If your child is eligible, you can create an account and access a list of participating tutors through the Student Dashboard.
Step 3
Tutoring Sessions
We will begin tutoring sessions, after which we will submit invoices to the Steve Carter Tutoring Program team for approval.
Step 4
Invoice Approval
You will receive an email to approve the invoice after each session, ensuring everything is accurate before your child’s tutor is paid.
